Once thought of as only distressed properties, today’s foreclosure market is filled with upscale homes that are turning buyers’ heads. Buyers are attending bank-owned foreclosure auctions to find the move-in ready home of their dreams at the right price. America’s leading real estate owned (REO) auction firm, Hudson & Marshall, will auction 60 upscale bank-owned homes on October 26th at 1:00pm at the Florida Hotel and Conference Center.

“Due to increased interest from buyers in purchasing higher end foreclosures that are move-in ready, Hudson & Marshall decided to bring back its popular Home Buyer auction program, where we specifically market upscale properties to the owner-occupant buyer,” remarked Dave Webb, principal, Hudson & Marshall. “These auctions also offer buyers great incentives such 45 days to close and low out of pocket costs,” added Webb.

Many of these unique properties are located in gated communities. Hudson & Marshall’s special Home Buyer auctions only require winning bidders to put $1,000 down in earnest money in the form of cash, cashier’s check or certified funds. Additionally, 3% of a buyer’s closing costs may be added to the purchase price.

Anyone can attend the auction and no registration fee is required. Like other Hudson & Marshall auctions, all the homes come with an insurable title and there are no minimum starting bids, the audience starts the bidding. This is a reserve auction, which means sellers have the right to accept, reject or counter any bid. In past auctions conducted by Hudson & Marshall, the majority of offers have been accepted.

Homes auctioned by Hudson & Marshall are sold “as-is” and prospective buyers should inspect properties before placing bids. An open house is scheduled for Saturday, October 18th and Sunday, October 19th from 12:00pm - 3:00pm. Some properties will be shown only by contacting the listing agent. A complete list of properties with listing agent information may be found at www.hudsonandmarshall.com or by calling 866-539-4172.
